Hello world!

Well, I'm back. Didja miss me? :-)

This is going to be a shorty-short post because I've been back in Luang Prabang long enough to find accomodation (same place again, this time in a tent!), take a shower, check the bazillion emails that happened while I was without electricity for four days, frantically search for a flight to Hanoi for tomorrow (!) (also: probably won't happen at those prices!), and now I am meeting some friends for dinner soon.

Here's what you need to know: Muang Ngoi was fabulous. Gorgeous, relaxing, great people. Totally a place I would recommend and go back to again.

More later. . .

  1. Yes, I missed you, both online and in general. I have no one to watch the Olympics with. Dad watches some, but he's been keeping pretty busy...

  5. ToadMama - Olympics! I'd forgotten all about them. I wish we were watching them together, too. Anything particularly exciting that I've missed so far?

  6. Yep... lots and lots of gorgeous Vancouver scenery. I'm ready to visit there now, which is no surprise since it is in the Pacific Northwest. The downhill skiing and snowboarding has been pretty good. I've had to record curling since they never air that in primetime. Speed skating is always exciting, and I like the snowboard cross, too. Nothing super exciting, but I like watching it all. It makes for some late nights though.
