Still alive

I know, I know. My posting in the last week has been nonexistent. It's not that I haven't wanted to post or that I haven't had a lot to tell about, it's just that my internet connection in Khajuraho, Agra, and now Jaipur have been really bad. Like log-on-and-get-kicked-off-right-away bad.

I have a lot of catching up to do (and tons of pictures to upload), but it's going to have to wait just a little bit longer. I'm heading to Delhi, where I'll be for the next couple of days, in the next hour or so. Hopefully my connection is better there. I also hope there's laundry facilities available because I'm in desperate need of clean clothes!

  1. Try this -- buy a one rupee (that's one forty-fifth of a the math, I flunked them all except the finals :-) )...anyway, buy a one rupee sachet of Tide washing powder. Fill a bucket three quarters, mix soap and clothes. Leave alone for a couple of hours, return and rinse etc....hang in sun / in room with fan Jaipur sun will dry in 3 hours and under fan about 8 to 10 hours. short, 15 minutes work spread over 4 hours, one whole rupee poorer, and hey presto well washed clothes...

Laundry -- the dhobi's (google 'dhobi' if that gets you lost) wife just may like your underwear...and...when you're backpacking...that's one thing you want enough of :-)

    Stay happy.

  2. Good advice, Toto. I'm sure she would much rather keep her underwear than clothe the dhobi's wife. Shannon, glad to hear all is well. Hopefully the Delhi connection is better.

  3. Now after reading this post I m relaxed tht your trip went successful after missing agra station in the night......thts a very nice thing.....Hoping your rest of India tours goes well n gud.....Have a nice n enjoyable tour

  4. I'm really glad to see you posting again, I was
starting to worry! and hopefully you will get
    your clothes cleaned in Delhi.

    Love Ya
